TAY NINH PROVINCE EXCELLENT STUDENT COMPETITION IN SOLVING MATH ON HANDHELD CALCULATORS – ACADEMIC YEAR 2025–2026
Tay Ninh, January 25, 2026 – Implementing Guidelines No. 2763/HD-SGDDT dated November 10, 2025, of the Department of Education and Training on the deployment of Quality Management – Digital Transformation tasks for the 2025–2026 school year, the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh Province organized the Tay Ninh Province Excellent Student Competition in Solving Math on Handheld Calculators for the 2025–2026 academic year. The competition is accompanied by Binh Tay Import-Export Joint Stock Company (BITEX) as a co-organizer and sponsor.
The competition is held annually, and this academic year marks the 22nd time it has been implemented, continuing to affirm its prestige, quality, and practical significance in improving students' thinking capacity, calculation skills, and technology application abilities.
The competition received the attention, direction, and attendance of the Leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh Province, including the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh Province - Ms. Phan Thi Da Thao, along with representatives of professional departments and leaders of local educational institutions. On the side of BITEX, there was the attendance of Ms. Tran Thanh Thao – General Director, and Mr. Tran The Vinh – Director of the Educational Investment Division.

This year's competition gathered more than 800 outstanding students from middle and high schools in Tay Ninh Province. As in previous years, this year's competition was held at Nguyen Trung Truc High School – Ben Luc. The middle school level will participate in the 9th-grade Mathematics exam for 60 minutes, and the high school level will take exams for 12th-grade subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for 90 minutes. The problems focus on pure calculation techniques using handheld calculators; combining subject formulas with calculator skills; and problems requiring algorithmic thinking and effective solving methods.

The results of the competition will be announced by the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh Province as soon as possible after the Grading Council completes the professional stages in accordance with regulations, aiming to recognize and honor the efforts of the participating students.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Tran Thanh Thao – General Director of BITEX emphasized:
“In the context of digital transformation and deep international integration, education does not stop at transmitting knowledge, but must also spark thinking, nurture courage, and the adaptability of the younger generation. The Handheld Calculator Math Solving Competition is a testament to that spirit – where students not only solve math problems but also learn how to master tools, optimize thinking, and solve problems smartly and creatively.”
According to Ms. Tran Thanh Thao, organizing academic playgrounds associated with modern technological tools will contribute to forming logical thinking, analytical ability, and a proactive spirit for students – the core competencies of citizens in the digital era.

The Tay Ninh Province Excellent Student Competition in Solving Math on Handheld Calculators for the 2025–2026 academic year is an in-depth professional activity, contributing to promoting the innovation of teaching and learning methods, technology application, and improving education quality, meeting the requirements of digital transformation in the current period.
