They passed rigorous selection rounds at school and district levels to win tickets to the city-level competition. Similar to previous competitions, the city-level round featured students competing in 5 subjects: Middle School Mathematics, and High School Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The Organizing Committee is expected to present 1,300 awards to high-achieving contestants in the First, Second, and Third prize categories.

More than 2,000 rigorously selected students excellently made their presence at the competition.
The journey of 31 consecutive editions (since 1995) of the Excellent Student Competition in Solving Mathematics on Handheld Calculators has become an iconic event for the learning and creative spirit of the city's students – a place where they can challenge themselves, unleash their potential, and orient their thinking in the new technological era, approaching global development trends. Through each edition, the competition has been improved to bring a joyful and complete learning and testing experience to the students.
The competition is not only an opportunity for students to experience and compete, but also a chance for teachers, the “ferrymen,” to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues in the same field and acquire new knowledge. The event created an environment for teachers to share experiences in training teams, applying calculators in learning, and how to make students more interested and study smarter in calculation-based subjects.
This year's competition continued to bring a vibrant experience festival for the contestants. At the test site area, students participated in game booths from brands such as CASIO Calculators, PILOT Pens, BITEX Stationery, and CASIO Watches from Anh Khue Watch.
